For local KSA wholesale, MOQs start from a few pallets. For export, our standard MOQ is one 20-ft container (approx. 24–25 MT of rice). Mixed-product containers can be arranged.
What are your payment terms?
Typically an advance with balance against shipping documents, or irrevocable L/C at sight for export orders. Local KSA customers receive standard trade credit terms after account approval.
Can you supply our own brand (private label)?
Yes. We handle bag design, printing, packing sizes from 1 KG to jumbo bags, and all origin documentation for your brand.
How fast can you deliver within Saudi Arabia?
Dispatch time for stocked items is confirmed per order. Import-to-order shipments follow standard sea-freight lead times which we confirm with your quotation.
Do you provide samples before ordering?
Yes — product samples are available so you can verify grain quality, aroma and cooking performance before committing to an order.

Understand what you are buying — the honest differences between processes and varieties, from the people who inspect them daily.
Steam Rice — what does it mean?
Paddy is steamed briefly before milling. Grains stay closest to natural white basmati but gain strength — less breakage, excellent elongation, the premium choice for Mandi and daily gourmet rice.
Golden Sella — why is it golden?
Full parboiling drives nutrients from the bran into the grain and turns it amber. Grains become firm and forgiving — they hold shape through long Kabsa cooking and reheating. Restaurant favourite.
Creamy Sella — the middle path
Lightly parboiled: creamy-white colour with sella firmness. When customers want white looks with parboiled durability, Creamy Sella is the answer.
1121 vs 1509 vs PUSA — which basmati?
1121: the world's longest grain (8.3mm+), maximum elongation — the luxury tier. 1509: slightly shorter, faster-growing, excellent value with real basmati aroma. PUSA: aromatic hybrid, strong cooking performance at competitive pricing. Your menu and margin decide.
IR64 & long grain — the workhorses
Non-basmati long grains (IR64, IRRI-6/9, PR varieties) deliver reliable volume economics for catering, camps and mass retail. Clean, graded and consistent — without basmati pricing.

GRAIN CLASSES
Long, medium, short — and why it matters
Long Grain — 6 mm and above
Slim and elongated. Cooks up separate, light and fluffy, so every grain stays distinct. This is the class buyers want for Kabsa, Mandi, biryani and pilaf. SAFIA's premium basmati sits well above the threshold — 1121 and 1509 reach 8.30–8.40 mm.
Medium Grain — 4 to 6 mm
Shorter and a little wider. Cooks tender with a moist, slightly creamy bite and holds some cling without turning into a mass. Suited to risotto, paella, Mediterranean rice dishes and everyday household cooking. Sona Masoori sits here at approx. 5.00–5.40 mm.
Short Grain — under 4 mm
Round and plump. Absorbs more water and turns soft and cohesive, which is exactly what sushi, rice pudding and porridge need. Not a basmati class — a different job entirely.
Indicative AGL: approximately 8.30–8.40 mm depending on variety, crop and lot. Final grain length, broken percentage and cooking performance are confirmed against the approved sample or inspection report.
INSIDE THE MILL
Four forms, four processes
Every SAFIA consignment starts as the same paddy. What separates raw from steam, and White Sella from Golden Sella, is what happens between cleaning and packing.
The single row that changes everything is the second steam. Skip it and you get steam rice — white, fluffy, delicate. Include it and the grain absorbs pigment and nutrients from the bran, hardens, and becomes sella: firmer, break-resistant, and either creamy-white or golden-amber depending on soak and steam duration.
CHOOSING
Which form should you buy?
RAWPurest aroma
Milled without steaming. Keeps the most natural basmati aroma and the most delicate texture — but needs careful cooking and breaks more easily in bulk handling. Best for premium retail and connoisseur kitchens.
STEAMThe all-rounder
Steamed and soaked, then milled. Clean white, cooks fluffy and separate, holds aroma well and handles bulk better than raw. The safest choice for Kabsa and everyday premium service.
WHITE SELLACatering workhorse
Double-steamed, creamy-ivory, very firm. Resists overcooking and holds shape under long holding times — which is why caterers and large kitchens rely on it for biryani and buffet service.
GOLDEN SELLAColour that sells
Longer parboiling gives a translucent golden-amber grain that stays firm and never sticks. Visually distinctive on the plate and in the bag — a strong seller in Gulf retail and for Mandi and layered rice dishes.
